Developments in optical measurement technology have enabled particle shape characterization of granulated matter at rapid process speeds.
The CAMSIZER(c) particle analyzer uses two high-definition cameras to provide real-time grain size distribution, particle shape analysis, and particle number data of materials free flowable dry materials. Its advanced software provides several algorithms for evaluating shape and irregularities between particles as large as 30mm or as small as 30um. This provides cost savings in a wide range of industries including processing of foodstuffs, plastics, minerals and similar pourable, free flowable products.
Other Retsch Technology optical particle shape and size measurement techniques include laser diffraction and light scattering, giving way to analysis instruments measuring particle sizes from 1nm to 30mm.
